A simple starting point

Start From Wherever You Are

You don't need an existing collection to join. You can start capturing thoughts today, continue something you've already been collecting, or simply join and wait until the first testing versions are ready.

What matters is having material that reflects your real thinking over time — ideas, observations, questions, things you've learned, creative fragments, project thoughts, or anything else you may want to return to.

Your collection

Your Collection Doesn't Need to Be Organized

Thoughts can be unfinished, loosely formed, repetitive, spread across different topics, or captured months or years apart. You don't need to sort or categorize them before using them with ThoughtTapestry.

Your material can also come from different sources and formats, including typed notes, documents, transcripts, voice notes, recordings, and material you've already collected using other tools.

Your material can be in English, Finnish, Dutch, Swedish, German, or Spanish — there is no need to translate it before using it with us.

For active early participants

Help Shape ThoughtTapestry. Keep It for Life.

Early participants who actively build and extend their collections, test ThoughtTapestry with us, and provide feedback will receive free lifetime access to the core ThoughtTapestry product.

It's our way of recognizing the people who help shape ThoughtTapestry while it is being built.

Privacy & control

Know What You're Sharing

ThoughtTapestry is still in early development, and early testing will not yet be a fully automated process. Developing and evaluating the system may require human review of material you choose to test with.

Before you share material for testing, we'll explain how it will be handled so you can decide what you're comfortable providing. Joining the early group does not require you to share any thought material now.

FAQ

Early Participation Questions

Do I need to have a collection already?

No. You can join with something you've already been collecting, start a new collection now, or join before you have a collection and begin later.

What should I collect?

Anything you genuinely want to return to or think about further. That could include ideas, observations, questions, things you've learned, project thoughts, creative fragments, plans, reflections, or other thoughts that matter to you.

What languages can I use?

You can use English, Finnish, Dutch, Swedish, German, or Spanish. Your material does not need to be translated before using it with ThoughtTapestry.

Does it cost anything to participate?

No. Early participation is free.

Participants who actively test ThoughtTapestry, build and extend their collections, and provide feedback will receive free lifetime access to the core ThoughtTapestry product.

How much material do I need?

There is no fixed amount required to join. ThoughtTapestry is designed to work across accumulated thoughts, so having more material can reveal more relationships and patterns. You can start small and build your collection over time.

Do I need to share anything when I join?

No. Joining only puts you in the early participant group. You do not need to share any of your thoughts or other material when you sign up.

What happens to material I share during testing?

Early testing may involve human review of material you choose to test with. Before you share anything, we'll explain how your material will be handled so you can decide what you're comfortable providing.

What do you expect from early participants?

Joining the early group does not commit you to taking part in testing. As ThoughtTapestry develops, we're especially interested in participants who are willing to build or extend real thought collections, test the developing system, and tell us what they find useful, confusing, missing, or worth improving.
